ABOUT ME

I’m a musician.

I’ve spent my entire professional career working passionately at what I love to do most:  making music and sound, and making a living at it.  It’s been a dream come true.

That passion, and my commitment to excellence, is what I believe my clients, colleagues, co-writers, co-workers, and students like and respect most about me and my work:  I’m committed to helping insure the success of theirs.  I’ve won 13 Emmy awards doing so.

I’m a firm believer in the power of music and sound to tell a story.  My story.  And yours.

Your project is your baby.  I think of myself as a musical and audio mid-wife:  I’m here to help deliver your baby.  I know you may well feel as passionately about your work as I do about mine.  When you hire me—as a musician, composer or songwriter; music producer or supervisor; audio engineer or sound designer; teacher, coach, reviewer, speaker; music library owner and publisher—you can expect I’ll take as good care of your baby as I do my own.  My goal, when we’re done, is for you to feel the way most parents hope to:  that your baby is as beautiful and cool as you imagined it could be.

For me, one of the keys to success is to have learned how excel at a diverse but interconnected set of music and sound jobs.  I believe my work, track record, awards, and client testimonials show that I have.  For you,  it provides a range of products and services that you can choose from:  what I call the One-Stop Music Shop.

On the one hand, you’re an industry client.  Maybe you’re looking for an original piece of music to score your next TV program, film, or advertisement; I can compose that piece in my own studio—and also arrange and produce the score here; or, if you prefer, I can license a track to you from the music library that I created and own called Future Hits.  Then, if you’d like, I can mix my music with the audio to your visual, including ancillary sound and sound design that I can help you create.  On the other hand, you’re a recording artist or composer. Maybe you’d like to learn more about songwriting.  I can teach you; then record your demo or record; then advise you through my writings and coaching on how to brand your sound and market your music; and then provide a hands-on marketing opportunity to license your work to the visual media through Future Hits–to help you also live the dream and make money with your music.  So pick one stop; or pick a few; or pick them all.  It’s your shop as well as mine.  Feel free to start to browse… look around… listen.   And dream, too.

Finally—clients and colleagues sometimes wonder and ask if they should call me A.J., or Andy, or what.  My answer is:  I don’t care what you call me.  Just call me!

Contact Andy.  I mean A.J.  I mean Andy…
